The tower seen from west

The cave under the tower

Casale dei Gallicano (aka Torraccia or Casale di Sant’Eusebio) is one of the many (more or less 300) defensive towers and structures built in the late middle ages (13th century) in the east side of roman countryside. Under the ruins of the tower there is a huge cave used, in recent times, to dry tobacco leaves.
